You will be sent a pre course pack including an Educational log for your PDP, NLP reading material and the NLP for Drs CD (with Dr Bandler and Dr Indrasenan). You will also have the opportunity at this stage to start documenting cases e.g. Heartsink patients’ situations or conflict management situations which we will focus the NLP skills on. The group size is specifically small to allow for focus on individual attention and you achieve the outcomes you want, successfully, using NLP. Objectives are recorded in your NLP Action Plan and by Day 3 you will have a set of tools tailored to you and your life, to start using straightaway.

Day 1

Behavioural integration of the basic presuppositions of NLP:

1. The ability to change the process by which we experience reality is more often valuable than changing the content of our experience of reality.
2. The meaning of your communication is the response you get.
3. All distinctions human beings are able to make concerning our environment and our behaviour can be usefully represented through the visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory senses.
4. The resources an individual needs to effect a change are already within them.
5. The map is not the territory.
6. The positive worth of the individual is held constant, while the value and appropriateness of the internal and/or external behaviour is questioned.
7. There is a positive intention motivating every behaviour; and a context in which every behaviour has value.
8. Feedback vs. Failure - All results and behaviours are achievements, whether they are desired results for a given task/context or not.

State Management

1. This section teaches you techniques to control your state in any situation, whether you want motivation, confidence, assertiveness or relaxation

Day 2

3. Overlapping and Translating Representational Systems
4. Communication Skills- Rapport
5. Rapport Establishment & Maintenance
6. Verbal & Nonverbal Pacing & Leading
7. Verbal and Nonverbal Elicitation of Responses

Day 3

1. Meta Model- Set of questions designed to open stuck patients to consider possibilities. Particularly effective with heartsink situations.
2. Review of case studies and application of NLP
3. This day will bring all you NLP skills together and apply them to your real life situations

At the end of the Core Skills Training you will receive a Certificate of NLP.
